Hog Roast
This years Hog Roast was held at Nutfield Masonic Centre again and we were fortunate
to have 93 guests including many of the past and present Executive as well as two
representatives of the RMBI. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather, it was a fine
evening. The hog seemed especially tasty, accompanied by a medley of salads and
roast potatoes. The assortment of sweets was to die for. There was a lot of frivolity
amongst the diners whilst the entertainment was a favourite of the residents called
“Freddie G” and they kept us tapping our feet – some even danced. A raffle was held
which raised £550.
As has been our custom, the Chairman of the Friends of JTC, W.Bro Frank Lee
presented, in the presence of Mrs Diane Collins (Home Manager) a cheque for £10,000
to W.Bro Chris Caine and W.Bro Dr. John Reuther both of the RMBI to be ring fenced
for the use of JTC.
