Friends of James Terry Court
The 25th of January each year is Burns Day so named after Robbie Burns the famous Scottish poet, being his birthday. At JTC we also celebrate and this year was no exception. Carol Roberts arranged with the help of some Residents to decorate the room and Tables and all the Residents wore Tartan hats. Edward the chef paraded the Haggis accompanied by some dubious character in Highland Dress and carrying the Whiskey. The Selkirk Grace was very ably given by Diane Collins, the Home Manager and the "Sassenachs" version of the Toast to the Haggis was delivered by John Banks, Vice Chair of the "Friends" Committee. After a hearty meal and a wee dram or two of Whiskey we all joined in several games of horse racing to finish off the afternoon. I think we did Robbie proud. Return to Home Menu
