Who are the Friends of James Terry Court ?
The 'Friends of James Terry Court' are an association who sole aim is to raise money and awareness for the RMBI Home,
James Terry Court at Croydon, as well as providing entertainment and extra facilities for the residents.

Yes. The Friends of James Terry Court are registered charity No. 1023718.
How does the Association raise money ?
The Friends raise money for the home through various means. Firstly by encouraging membership and patronage, also by
arranging various events at the home such as The Summer Fete, an annual Hog Roast evening and the Christmas Fayre.
How can I help ?
There are lots of ways that you help the Friends. Most importantly by taking out an annual membership or patronage, but also
by giving your time and energy to attend the various find raising events that are organised throughout the year. You could also
donate your time at helping out at the events themselves, or by joining the 100 plus club.

Who looks after the Residents ?
The RMBI staff include:

A Deputy and an Assistant Home Manager
Registered General Nurses providing 24 hour nursing care
9 Morning Care Assistants
8 Afternoon Care Assistants
4 Overnight Care Assistants
Plus a dedicated professional catering team, administration and maintenance staff, ensuring our compliance with all general
and health and safety requirements, all with one focused aim in that of providing the very best residential care here in the
Province of Surrey.
Who qualifies to become a Resident at James Terry Court ?
Men who are or were Freemasons and Ladies dependent of Freemasons. There are also places, if available, to persons
outside any Masonic links.
Can married couples stay at James Terry Court ?
Yes, we have five double bedrooms for married couples.
Are temporary residential facilities available ?
Yes, these can range from one night to one month.
Entertainment
This is regularly provided at James Terry Court. This has included trips to the London Eye, the London Christmas lights,
Theatre Trips, internal entertainment provided by professional artists in our dining room as well as regular events and a
Christmas Party / Lunch at the home. The residents also have their own Ladies Festival evening in James Terry Court, we
encourage regular sing-a-longs, bingo and special events days are also organised.
What else do the Friends do ?
The Friends of James Terry Court committee, produce a newsletter twice yearly that is sent to all Friends and Patrons.
The committee arranges, from time to time, occasions when non-residents can visit the home, for instance for a meeting for
Surrey lodge Almoners. There is also a web site for anyone to visit to find out the latest events and news from the home and

Why not arrange a group visit with members of your Lodge, their wives and partners?
A "Friends" Coffee morning is held every second Sunday in the month at 11.00 a.m., why not come along?
